You must run the client with Admin Privs on Windows, I had the same problem even though my normal user account had write access to the game directory. Regnum also stores registry information in HKLM Registry key which only Power Users and Administrators can write to.

Hi NGD!

Got a problem now with the new graphics.

I start the game (on max settings) and the in-game loading screen appears (right after the intro video). Then it loads to about half and the character screen music starts going. Then it stops loading. Then appears a box with "There has been a connection problem, Please try again". THEN I can't exit the game, so naturally, I have to restart comp.

It runs other games on max settings and with higher requirements than Regnum.

Thanks in avance,

i recently finished the quest to get the plastic surgery scroll. i used the scroll, and it turns out that on fixed pipline, you cant see skin tone or tattoos but you CAN see eye color and changes in facial features.

however, in shader 2.0, you CAN see skin tone and tattoos, but you CANT see changes in eye color or facial features.

i dare not run RO in shader 3 or higher because it would run SOO slow (if it doesnt crash).

ubuntu 10.04 i386, ATI radeon 2400 HD, 2GB ram, 2GHz core 2 duo.

P.S. shader model 2 runs REALLY choppy. its not the FPS, its something else.

Yeah..I wish I would have known this before using the scroll. Since I couldn't see the skin tone changing, I had no idea it was...I inadvertently changed the race of my character to one with really, really, REALLY dark skin. logged on with all the graphics pumped up last nite and I was very, very dark

Exclamation Loading window...connection error message

I log in, I click ENTER GAME NOW button, the little blue guy pops up and then the game loading window with all the game tips at the bottom of the screen pops up and begins downloading the game. It loads 1/4 to 1/2 of the loading progress bar and then and error message pops up saying: "There was a connection problem. Please reenter the game again.". This just started happening right after April 12th's hotfix. How do I fix it so I can get the game to load properly. No, my internet didn't lose connection, nor did it crash during loading.

Almost every time there is an update, I get a 'There was an error patching the game' message and I can't start the game.

-RO is installed in c:games\NGD Studios\Regnum Online
-I've gone through my firewall setup, and tried running the program with firewall off.
-I've run RO as administrator
-it simply begins working again randomly, but this can often take weeks or months (it connected briefly last night for 15 min and began to download the patch, but my computer hung on another program and I had to shut things down)

Is there:
a) a place I can directly download the patch?
b) a way to run the game through a VPN?
c) any other solution you can think of?

Thanks!

Resinstall Video card drivers..or install another version..that happens to me many times on NVidia 9500GTX with new drivers.
This on windows XP.
On win 7 if crash win was able to recover video card drivers alone.
On linux worked fine and never crashed.

What is wrong with my pc?

I have really poor performance anywhere near a fort war - the fps dips down to 5-6fps even though my server ping is ok at 120ms. All I can do is grind - war is just not possible anymore even in safe mode.

It is something with video card, autodetect does not work... I have the latest drivers but the GUI says nvidia unknown 512mb.

Please help...
