Today at imperia there was only 1 conjurer, me. So no DI available. I got confused, so everyone else was doomed. This type of scenario happens a lot; only 1 conjurer for 10 people. So 1 confuse to bring down a whole army.

thats the whole idea of the spell, disable important(mostly conjs yes) players to bring down a army, isnt that how ms on a barb/knight works, or darkness on that poor barb that rushed and got knocked? How usefull you think a marks feels when his mana got burned again, for RvR its a perfectly balanced spell, a barb doesnt have the mana to fight alone, a knight doesnt have the damage, a marks doesnt have the pure dmg, a hunter needs allies to kill after the update, a lock, no comment, and a conj needs ppl to support and other conjs to help him do that, 1 conj that keeps 10 ppl alive, maybe thats the moment for a archer to confuse, or a lock/marks to dizzy him?
PS, yes it was me that confused you, and it was lvl 1, you guys zerged agg right after with alot of conjs, maybe you should have took those with you to imp? >.>

One is to burn mana, bring buffs down, prevent self buffs, another is to prevent all spells of whole class. Yes Confuse stops all and conjurer is left to purely die. All that is left is if he have some buff on to PRAY not die before buff runs out. That's it.
Confuse disables whole class, it has range, it has insane duration and effect, it is given to hunter who have SoTW, Camo and other tools to kill and get away alive even in center of the zerg. This is OP and wrong. There is no way to save conjurer if hunter have SoTW(5), Confuse(2-5), Bestrial(5). Conjurer is DEAD and have no chance to do ANYTHING. Usually as a conjurer i'm enraged, because you can not do anything - at best i have picking ivy and beetle. Hunter is on SoTW, pet is unstoppable. You DIE. If i have chance to Dispell, cast buff, sanctuary it will be a whole different story. Confuse is one of the things that makes conjurer class unplesant, unnatractive, abusing. I can not count how many times i closed game in rage from confuse. I made warlock just to play in times i want to smash something in rage. I still play because i love this class, but many others stopped before my eyes and switched to other class. Confuse is in no way balanced. Stop with the s*it argument bring second conjurer. I'm sick of this. Needing second of your kind to prevent that s*it cheap spell is most insane idea in this game EVER. I want to play sometimes alone. I do not want to rely to stupid enchanters or wannnabe warjus who are selfish and do not bring DI(3-5). I want to have fun and not to die in 20 seconds after battle starts, because 90% of enemy archers say "Look conjurer without DI lets confuse and kill!".

With to much supportive classes is good to have confuse or wars would be endless. And if you get confused in amun version: A) is from a camo hunter that cannot scape, cos he dont have speed for it. B) You rush with other guys that kill the hunters, but let you be confused. C) you did not rush with other realm mates, but everyone did and let a supportive class unprotected. |

i think confuse it fine but needs to lower the duration, i think 20 sec on 5 would be more then enough, we need confuse to be tactical what else do we got? i'm speaking as a marks now: dmg? no, crazy buffs? not one, aura's? not one, crazy mass cc's? nope nothing, crazy dmg cc's? yeah rep shot but it's extremely risky to use it, so i voted keep but just lower the duration.

Silence is 15s max and gives nearly same effect. If you want tactical spell 15s is enough and if you time if properly you will win. Because of it's insane duration of 35s confuse is spammed without any thinking of tactical usage. You just cast and know you will win.
As warlock i rare have need of more than 7s of silence. I rare see silence bigger than level 1 actually. Placed in correct moment it do the job perfectly. Warlock is just an example keep in mind. This is not tactics, this is abuse of the spell.

I voted keep it, its awfull when your trying to support people and get confuse 3-4. But as some others already said, its a tactical spell so i think its important to keep it.
at lvl 3-4 (most of the time i get it its 3-4) its 25-30 seconds that is far to long in my opinion, it should be better if the time was 10-12-15-17-20 or something simmilar. |
