Default No sound slackware 13.1

Hey all, I'm having some sound problems on the slack partition. It's just regnum, everything else works fine. It's most likely not a corrupted client because I just copied the installer over from my ubuntu partition, and the sound works there. I've tried messing with alsamixer and the KDE sound utilities, but no luck. Ideas?

Should have a stick in the Linux technical support forum with the title: "No sound? Try installing OpenAL"

Just a note to say this worked for me on openSuse 11.3 as well. On openSuse the package is listed as openal-soft in yast's software management tool.

Whatever package manager you use, searching "openAL" should do the trick. Also, +1 Ara on the sticky idea.
