The old system reduced the casttime/time between hits by x% so it was no cast-/attackspeed increase but a casttime/time between hits decrease. With the new system speed is real speed.

I changed my Setup to Lb now because the Dmg of Sb isen't good!!!
Now I use the range and make realy good Dmg as petless Hunter.

But thx for all Answers here

In the past we did not have global cooldown of skills. Thus we could cast spells as soon as our next attack was ready. Once global cooldown was introduced the attack speed was not as valuable for speed casting.

Some of you were asking about base casting speed and the difference between medium/fast bows. The gap that you see is not as great now.
If you have 2 ring of lightning + attack speed + 5 leggings w/ a medium bow, you will hit at the same base rate as any fast bow.

The damage adjustments vs fast/medium/slow bows were also altered!
You can use a slow bow with 100 damage or a fast bow with 100 damage and they will have the exact same damage output. (fast bows are now awesome)

Dual shot with shortbows has been hampered due to the damage reduction of bows (mainly effects hunters)
So yes most of us have changed to long bows.
You can almost return your dualshot damage to what it was wit 2 rings of deadly site.... (Still not as good)
Still not as good for several reasons...
.5 cast time of the long bow skill allows you to quickly fire long bow skills from the top of fort walls then back up out of danger at a greater attack range, while trying to do the same with shortbow and dual short takes twice as long or longer and will almost get you instant (ambushes+knocked) killed due to long casting time.
