I have a question. Are Brazilian portuguese and Portugal portuguese identical?

There are some minor diferences. For instance, in Brazil the word "ruim" means "bad", and on Regnum it's used to describe an item's bad resistance against a type of damage. In Portugal, that word is not used, we describe something bad as "mau". Still, we understand each other.

In most cases, just some words have more use in one country than another, i think it should be not much different from American english and British english.

Most of times we can understand each other quite well, just one word or another that have real different meaning, but in this cases most of times we know what is the meaning in both countries.

There is just one difference that is really big, Portugal translates everything and brasilians dont. for example

Mouse (eng) Mouse (Pt-br) rato(pt)
slot (eng) slot (Pt-br) ranhura (pt)
