After watching it I would make my own , support conjuer video... You recommend to use Fraps ?

Great video! If you have skill you don't need overpowered class ;]

Don't I know it.
Jakob loves a good PvP but he's not shy of getting involved in RvR activities - I'd prefer it if he didn't bug me to PvP one guy or another or even himself half the time lol.

Don't go confusing opinion with fact, just because you convince yourself you're right, does not make it so.
I'll give you an example of the two just to clarify things for you.

The sky is blue.
This is a fact.

Light is invisible.
This is a fact.

Regnum lags like a bitch.
This is a fact.

The basics of PvP are to unleash spells in certain orders that you would have predetermined based on experience, this has less to do with skill and more to do with muscle memory, of course you may argue this is a form of skill but I digress.
Once the spells have been cast, the main factor that dictates the outcome of a PvP is luck - whether a certain spell cast resisted or not.
The only true skill that is noticeable is situational, even this is only a small fragment of gameplay.
By situational I mean to say, the environment you happen to find yourself in - objects that may provide cover, positioning in relation to the opponent and even utilizing nearby aggressive mobs.
Since the situation varies each and every time, this is not something that can be premeditated.
Very little of the latter part of PvP can be discerned, however, situational factors play a much more significant role in RvR.
Positioning in such an instance requires you to take into account your own position in relation to not one or two opponents but a whole group and usually since RvR activities happen around large structures, environmental positioning is far more important.
This is an opinion.

Make of it what you will.

I like hepha as a warlock. His videos are good and the way he handles multiple opponents is amazing. I have warlock and i never was good in it. Warlock is just not my class. It requires too much patience, timing and luck.

Sadly i never managed to learn new controls which gives me a disadvantage against strafers. If someone wants to be against me - go to fort fights, open fights, bridge fights. Conju is just not as productive alone. Well on warju yes but again not as fun as support. It is nearly impossible to survive after Confuse or Darkness. Especially against lock. The need of DI is unplsant.

I like to run from lost forts to see how long i can survive. We started this with Syrtisa as a fun challenge and it still gives adrenaline.

Good or bad - important is to have fun. Go go make MOAR videos!

I like to pvp soo much yeah
And still i lost my spring ability i keep fighting all of you, a pvp and a forced pvp is different, if you are forced to fight a ranged (and you are knight) then nothing to do, fight or die, but if its a agreed pvp, then there is no reason of long minutes of running after the target, so it can be stopped.
I accept all you pvp challenges, but i would fight fair, so bring warrior class please

thanks to put on my name at this topic.

I liked the video. I do like most videos that are pretty clean and lack the distracting effects.

PvP , RvR the crusade goes on. I have no issue with PvP players. They are entertaining to watch. As for skill? well I said before it is what you define as skill. Everyone's definition of that is different and there will probably never be any consensus on it.
I play RvR exclusively and as such I know I am heavily biased towards it and as such, I will refrain from trying to discuss extensively it in a balanced way. My bias prevents that.

However, the game is open ended and players can skill and enjoy the game the best way they see fit. If a player likes PvP then that's fine. Like RvR, hunting , fort war, bridge war , open field? All good too. The game provides for all this.

Will certain classes have an advantage over others? Yes. because the game is not balanced exclusively for PvP it will always be so. Will skill setups be a factor? Certainly. Will player mindset towards their preferred play style be a factor . I think so.

Personally, I got tired of the threads of who is best and the PvP vs RvR debate. You know why? Too much variables to calculate. The disciplines are simply different mindset based. Nobody can convince me otherwise. As for PvP leading to RvR and missing a step well I don't think that is always the case depending on your mindset.

I have never trained my knight in PvP. Ever. Trained in arena? If I have been there 20 times in 3+ years that is plenty. Don't skill for PvP build. In fact I never developed a PvP build. Hunts ? Hardly and only if allies twist my arm. Yet I never felt I missed any step because RvR is why I play, and it is the only thing that appeals to me. Maybe I am a terrible Knight, I have no clue but I think I do okay in RvR and never had the 'benefit" of PvP training. Likewise for every other class I play. I never felt the need for PvP training to get better. RvR was enough. But Then I play for fun and don't consider game beta tester or drone pilot a future career choice. As such, dexterity I could care less about. I use my left hand for 95% of the game and I am cool with that.
I am not best or even average? Hey I have fun and give fun and that is all that is important to me. It is after work entertainment for me and nothing more.

I know that some players are young and such but it is just kinda difficult (prolly because I am biased as well ) to gather the concept of such seriousness behind a game and the fundamentalist need to support their chosen path in the game. If you are having fun isn't that enough? I suppose such passion is probably a need for others to 'understand" their position.
Personally , I feel players shouldn't have to defend their play style(unless such includes illegal exploits).

Anyway, Regnum provides for all (except PvE specialists) and this is a good thing. Entertainment and fun comes in all forms in this game. For me this overrides all other considerations. Best is not important at all.

Regards
