On 9gag it was said that this is where the Great Wall of China meets the Sea, not sure if 9gag is such a reliable source but I guess it could be true ;p.

Fully armored you are not able to swim :P, archers and ships was waiting for heroes who want to 'go around' by the water. With worse armor you're easy target for arrows.

Asian archers were good skilled. In Japan, archery is still a tradition, some kind of art. No idea about China
