Thanks for the reply, but that is not an option. It is only the night, that is too dark, if I raise gamma it is too bright at day. I don't think it is meant to raise and lower gamma all the time through the different daytimes...

well that is the only solution I know, I tried to find an intermediate value to work at night and during the day.

I know what you mean. But shouldn't it be playable as it was before the update? Why darkening the night so much?
Here's a comparison before/after the update. The lighting hasn't changed for the day, but was drastically darkened for the night. It makes no sense in a game, where you need to able to see at least your opponents and mobs at all times. Why not just restoring the light level to where it was before the update? |

This has nothing to do with gamma. Terrain graphics are awfully dark and dull since the update and even more at night.

Its awful!
I increased gama, lowered object and terrain view distance to min to get a less dark background, but im still not completely happy with it. And removed shadows of course, but i probably would have done that anyway. |
