This VIP preview is simply a beta test drive to remove all the kinks and bugs from the instances themselves. I suspect all the rules and mechanics will be tuned after they finish the foundation stuff. It's an interesting and new approach. As for the RP, if you don't want to give up any don't go to deathmatch. It's not like they have any use anyway.
