Game not starting

Ok, I am 100% sure my computer blows the specs on this game away, I have windows 7 home 64 bit os, 8gb ram, i7-960 processor - 3400 quad core, geforce 620 graphics card.
The launcher opens fine, I accept the terms, it brings up second launcher for my user name and password that works fine. I bring up the 3rd launcher with the server list, click on it... click play... window closes and that's it. No alert, no error message just the desktop screen.
I have already tried every single combination of options and every option. That does not help.
My firewalls both allow the game.

My laptop is having exactly the same issue. It's a noted problem on the Steam forums as well, and i hope the devs are doing something about it as i just want to start playing now!

I know what you mean, guess I'll try a re-install from the website and see if that helps any. Maybe the steam version isn't working worth a crap.

Can you post the files log.txt and error_log.txt? They're inside the install dir / LiveServer folder

Ok, re-installed to the same issue. log.txt is blank, and error_log.txt does not exist... Like I said, it's just closing to the desktop, no error screen.
