For a 3-way, you need 3 realms. Just watch at pumps window on your screen...

gelfs still have players, Im sure some would like wars
and the best part about a 3-way is that even with small numbers you can participate
although you'll have to run for your life if the enemies are inspired to rush on your group.

also the main fort was made Herbred so gelfs will have the easiest time getting to the fort.
