As a Conjurer, what I find annoying when lvling with small parties is when they don't take much damage and don't take off their armor. If I want to get any sort of EXP, I'll be casting a Heal on them even if they barely take damage -- one or more Heals per monster. It's way more efficient if you take off your armor (lower repair cost) and just go up and tank the monster, so the Conjurer can heal it. Plus, it's a lot more fun if your party takes more damage XD It forces your Conjurer to play more efficiently =) Thing is, if you aren't getting any Heals, there must be a reason why (limited on cooldown, other people taking damage, etc), so don't just stand there taking hits if you're about to die and you don't get healed -- run away!
Another one is to stay near the Conjurer. Don't ask for Mana or Health and go sit down somewhere far away from the Conjurer or run off somewhere. The Conjurer should be sticking closer to the larger group of people who are fighting. There is no point to have the Conjurer run all over the place cause everyone in the party is fighting different stuff (this risks deaths and is very inefficient). If you want Mana or something, sure, ask, no big deal, but stay close to the Conjurer so he can actually give it to you =) Of course, you can always just sit down far from the Conjurer and regen it if you want, but hey, giving Mana (for the most part) is usually free for the Conjurer. |

I don't like to take off my armor, I feel nekkid especially when there are female conjurers around ogling at my dwarf's knees.
But as an archer, I usually let somebody else tank and prefer to keep my armor on in case of a raid. If I'm lvling alone with a conjurer I always make sure I get hit at least once so the conju can heal me at least once as well, which is what they usually ask for to get a share of the exp. |

If I'm leveling with a group of people and nobody is taking damage, I will instead focus on feeding mana to them, or buffing them up. Divine Intervention will keep them tough if we get jumped, so I try to keep casting it the moment it comes out of cooldown. Warriors get Bear's Strength and Bless. Archers get Feline Dex and Bless. Additionally, if nobody has taken any damage, I'll still cast a Regen on whoever is the acting tank, because they probably will be taking some damage real soon.
There are a lot of things to do besides just healing. |
