Lucky boxes -how to to maximize the return on your investment
Hello all,
I am thinking of getting xim for lucky boxes. I have a question on optimum use of xim on lucky boxes. I know it is totally random and this is the first time I am going to buy lucky boxes. My dilemma is what combination of lucky boxes should I be buying. Should I try my luck with 2 diamonds first. Then 2 platinum, remaining on gold. Or should I just buy multiple gold at first there by maximizing the probability of getting decent armor (giving up my chances of getting awesome item . Or should I start with gold, if I find decent armor at first, go up to diamond to try for awesome armor, else keep buying more gold. Or should I just go all in buying 5 platinum. Or do you say items don't matter it is skill that matters in this game :P Hmm.. decisions .. decisions.. this is why i never gamble . So if you are in my position and have, say, 50k xim at your disposal for barb armor. How would you go about doing it? Has anyone experimented with this and found an optimum solution? Thanks ! |

Hey!
First of all congrats on graduating! Maybe a good thing to know is that Platinum and Diamond lucky boxes generate an item close to your Character level and the main class will be the same. This is not the case for Golden lucky boxes, these generate an item close to your character level but they don't guarantee an item useable for your class. You could get a tunic instead of barbarian armor for example, or a bow instead of a sword. So if you really want gear for your barb only, you might want to consider going for the Platinum or Diamond boxes. As for those last two boxes: Platinum: Chances are wide to get a magical item and smaller to get an epic item. Diamond: Chances are wide to get a magical or epic item and smaller to get a legendary item. If you just want decent gear for your barb, Platinum should be more than sufficient. If you want to take a gamble and go for legendary items, you'll have to take the diamond boxes! Good luck hehe!

How lucky was I?
I got a pack of platinum boxes and a diamond box.
Out of these, I got 4 epic pieces and 2 magical. Boiled down to 3 usable pieces(since i didn't have any decent stuff to start with). Not disappointed, not over the moon, but I think the return on investment is pretty poor, the way it should be Now I wont feel jealous about those high rollers ! Thaks for all the advice |
