Ah, yes, I forgot escapist and SoW; most likely because I never got to use them

Anyway, Ok, as I said, it makes a difference in pursuits, and I think running like hell from a fort and having people chase you a pursuit, but I see where you're coming from, where you get so far away they don't chase you. I still don't mind though, but you have a point. I think it's fine, but that's just me, the level 31 goat man ![]()

It means that each armour piece(pauldron, legging, etc) only provide a certain percentage of armour points, and since knights have shields, they are the only ones who can achieve 100%.

Escaping for hunters with passive speed and escapist plus maybe sow is very fast already (short time) 115% with passive +25% witch Mobility +40% Escapist as Starter for 5 sec as long as Enemy are near. +15% witch SoW To get that you need 19 Evasion and 8 PP spent (Escapist just as starter not for longterm pursuits against Onslaught/Sprint barbs, then you need 12 PP). So you need to sacrify others for it and thats fine, hunter dont do much damage with such a build (either PetDamage or BowDamage, both wont work out or you dont have any skills (Tricks) to Stun/KnockDown. So either a canonlykillfromambush/candisturbenemies/guerilla-runaway or some kind of decent damage but not escaping weak marksversion (with bow+pet). This game is mainly about stunning, knockdown, dizzy in RvR (not much a hunter can do here), in PvP i found about 3 tactics work: - either knockdown and dispell/malbuff the enemy and try to kill him with good selfprotection on (hunter with pet(dmg), either_bow(dmg), tricks(stunn fist, sudden strike,ambush,confuse, distracting shot, dirty fighting = immobilize, malbuff and some evasion = selfbuff) OR - scouting + tricks + bow + evasion for hit-and-run tactics ( either longbow or shortbow high or both bowtypes and weaponswitching(with wont work with buffs as it yet is bcause buffs vanish on weaponchange) on mediate lvl) OR - low scouting + tricks + 2 bows + pets and hope you deal enough damage in those combined areas (bows+pet) that you can kill enemie ... will work against mages+other archers sometimes but mostlikly youre dead if you use it on warriors. The 1st wont work well on barbs(kill you with 3 hits) and warlocks(2 spells), the 3rd is risky. The 2nd wont get you a kill in one rush but you can use tactic of needles ... if you hit em often enough they might die ... or chase you. In either way you distracted them from hunting/killing others/getting forts or whatever. Silly or not these builds get the most complains about it, because the attacked get denied of rp and complain about lightningfast archers - unkillable archers - ... - they just forget that you seldom kill any other lvl 50 if he plays smart. Im not 50 (42 yet) but i dont see hunters OP, i get killed a lot (even by lowerlvl barbs/marks/warlocks) and im most usefull in a group who needs a tracker with some additional damage (i use pets, regardless if they drown if taunted or have worse AI bcause i feel that each hunter should have a pet - its about style, not rp). The armor most suits the 2nd way of fighting and advatages at hunts. Id rather have something similar in all realms but i doubt it makes such a difference. Most hunters that escape dont escape bcause of 3% armorspeed but by combining theire speedadvantages, maybe use caltrops on pursuiters and good timing (that is:break from fight at 1/3mana and come back).

Hey gph and other ROL Players: Creating items that increase Movement Speed was, in fact, an error by the Content team. Apologies for that. Those items will increase Casting Speed instead. This change will be available this week in the experimental server and next week in the official server. Again, sorry about the inconveniences and thanks a lot for your comments. |
