Segmentation fault after login

Hy all,
First, I'ld like to excuse me for my English because I'm French.

I've installed RO yesterday on my desktop without problems (under Windows XP). After having some fun, I decided to install it on my laptop (running Ubuntu 8.04).
That's where the problem is.
At the installation, all goes right. When launching RO, I can see the user agreement, accept it, enter my login/pass. But, after a click on the "Login" button, the game stop.

I tried to launch it from the console, it returns "Segmentation fault".
After some searches over the forum, I tried launching with MALLOC_CHECK_=0 but nothing better (because it's not "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"?)

So, please, help me playing it on my laptop.

SOLUTION :

After installing EnvyNG, it installed all the needed files (that I wasn't able to install my self due to some errors).

I've already tried this script (I've forgot to mention it).
That's the output (In () is what I think is the translation of the french) :

game: aucun processus tué (No process killed)
rolauncher: aucun processus tué (No process killed)
malloc: using debugging hooks
Segmentation fault
usage: renice priorité [ [ -p ] pids ] [ [ -g ] pgrps ] [ [ -u ] usagers ]

I got it!
Finally, after a day of hard search, trying to install dri2proto, drm, fglrx etc etc, I felt on EnvyNG wich installed the latest drivers with all my needs. (I wasn't able to install drm. I said that dri2proto wasn't the good version, but I haven't found another one).

So, I'm sorry for this topic. If someone can close it...
