How do I install openAL on Ubuntu 8.10?

I would like to know so I can have sound while I play.

Previous message was a console/terminal way. There is a tool called Synaptic. It is a graphic tool wrapping package manager apt in debian/ubuntu. So find Synaptic - he is located somewhere in administrative menu, start it and search for libopenal. In Ubuntu Interpid it is called libopenal1. After you find right package select it and install. Ubuntu have wonderful community forum try to search there if you have problems.
