DirectX 8
ive posted this on forums.steampowered.com, hoping they could help me, and i didnt get a response. sooo im coming here for help <3
im getting a new computer next month, quad core 3.0 GHz, 8 gb of ram, and an Nvida GTX 260, in case youre wondering. but as of now, i have a problem with my brick. it doesnt run games in DX 9 without crashing. sooo...yeah. is there a way to get this, or any game for that matter, to run in DX8? regards Last edited by Regnum_Online; 07-02-2009 at 08:03 AM. |

No, but you can play it in OpenGL.

i will try openGL then. thanks for the response
i remember last time i tried it...back in 07, it messed up all my textures. i selected it on accident in the drop down menu. The ground n stuff was white, and when i moved it flashed colors, generally not a good thing. im gonna update my drivers too, as that might have been a problem. im working to get the parts for my gaming rig here cheaper and faster. is ebay any good for buying computer parts or should i stick to newegg? regards edit: i believe you, but why can't you run dx9 games in a lower dx level? Team fortess 2, counter strike source, i guess mainly games hosted on the Steam Client, you can add a parameter to the launch options, "-dxlevel" that lets you run them as low as you want. |
