So I'm a lv 23 knight and I just bought a full set of Gladiator gear. Five pieces and each piece gives me 100 armor points. Then I have a shield which gives 95 ..so that totals 595 armor points. Yet on my character screen it only shows that I have 409 armor. And come to think of it I've always had lower armor than what my armor should be giving me. So I'm kind of confused why this is.
![]() Anyone have any ideas? Is it like his for everyone? Are there any high level knights who have a lower armor point rating than what their gear is supposedly giving them? thank you |

That is top secret information.
Sorry. NGD doesn't do explanations. That's just not how they roll. |

Armor points calculation is a bit strange and the value in the character window is meaningless. The full explanation is here and there's also a calculator here.
Note, this is not NGD official explanation but results of experiments by players.

This is because each part of the armor has a different multiplier, i.e. a chest armor which is where most damage is received and covers most of the body should not protect as well as a leg.
I don't know the reals multipliers, but would be something like this: chest armor (100) x 0.63 = 63 armor, leg armor (100) x 0.30 = 30 armor ... etc, etc Therefore your total armor will always be lower
