Remove Gem?

Can you remove a gem that you find in a weapon say +24 ice damage in a staff and use the gem in another weapon?

Or is it only gems you have put in?

I have never heard of a 24 damage gem?

Or like in amulet +50 damage gem. Can you take it out?

There is a premium item I think that takes out all the gems that are in the weapon. I kinda don't remember it's name now :S

You can only remove a gem from an item not a 'stat' if its a gem its capped at 15dam/7% and will have a small image of the gem next to it.

I havent seen a wep dropped with a gem already in it.

Right, weapons don't come with gems already put into them. If a drop does come with special stats, they're part of the weapon, can't be removed.
