I think i solved animations problem, but some of them are invisible or look weird (ex: mana pylon does not roteate, heal ally has a strong orange light on the ally, barrier look almost white and not trasparent like it used to be, force armor has a stonger color than before and the circles don't roteate around me like the star under my foot do, arcane missle missing animation - just seeing the impact of the spell, master of doom looks really weird it is pinkish and seems like the warlock has pipes around him. etc...)

I think you should fix the animations that don't work as they should.

With the old client I did not have any kind of problem. With normal settings I had less or more 60 fps and a little less during the war.
Now with the new client, with normal settings I have 8-10 fps. If I turn off the shadows 15-20 and only in safe mode 60 fps. Many of my friends cannot connect because their hardware is not powerful enough... Can you imagine how I feel?


System:
Kubuntu 9.04 (64 bit)
Dell Latitude D630
Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Quadro NVS135M

NDG has suggest to update the video driver but for my system I had a really bad experience. In fact it is really hard
to update the driver and have not problems with it.


Detail about standard (repository) VIDEO DRIVER:
nvidia-glx-180
nvidia-180-kernel-source

Yes, i had no more problem after using shader 2 too. The problem was in shader 4, i don't know for shader 3.

AMD Turion 64 X2 / 4GB RAM / ATI Radeon HD 3100 (using Catalyst 9.6 driver) / 64-bit Gentoo Linux

The client still has all the issues I listed in this post, namely:
  1. Strategic position animation is upside down in Fixed Pipeline mode
  2. Unfortunate typo in crash report screen: change "analize" to "analyze" please
  3. Closing message reads "There was a connection problem. Please, try entering the game again." even if I choose to exit the game normally
  4. Characters show with pink-tinged skin when I return to the character selection screen, while skin tone is normal at startup
  5. Eferias castle door is completely transparent from the inside
  6. Map cursor is blurred, which makes it hard to figure out where you're actually facing
  7. Quest icons are blurred

New issues:
  1. Recharged Arrows no longer has animation or sound effect
  2. Neighing sound effect no longer plays after mounting a horse
  3. Occasionally I login to see characters looking like stiff like mannequins. Models will stay frozen with this appearance even if I move around, cast spells, enter combat mode etc. Only way to cure the situation is to exit and re-enter the game.

I'm mostly playing with Shader Model 2.0 now, particle effects on and all other graphics options set to lowest possible.

but there is another bug. some glitches in the sky:

Just had a strange issue at Agger, we were fighting and went out of Alsius veiw for a bit, Toppler came up so I started to shoot him, I soon saw barriers flashing and started to be attacked by a char I know to be a barb, except I could still only see Toppler, so about 7 or 8 Alsius failed to load,

Back at Cs Trees were all white and some hunter was showing as just a floating head and bow.

is that i see the water black.

Small list of the problems I'm having:

Seemingly random segfaults.
That post processing bug where I log in and the floor is see-through, and then I change the post processing setting and it comes back.
The animations for "Blaze" and "Vampiric Aura" are not there
Certain sound effects appear to be delayed by a second or so
I lag out really heavily whenever shadows are on... The quality/distance settings make no difference, but turning them off does.

This box's stats:

Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS... Don't know the actual stats on that sorry
Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller
Intel Core2Duo, about 2.9 GHZ?
2 gigs of ram
32bit Arch Linux, drivers should all be the latest.

the game is running so slow like when i use a action/spell command it takes time after 5 secs it casts the spell, also my hunters pet is lagging, wen i run it stays in one place and it dies,

RAM - 2063MB
operating system - windows vista TM home premium
graphic card- cant find sorry
