I cannot see the ground if i play with either under Windows 7 with Catalyst 9.12 and OpenGL as renderer or Catalyst 9.11 and Catalyst 9.12 with Arch Linux.

other system specs.: ATI Radeon HD 4650, 2 GB RAM, Phenom II 545


But it runs very well with Catalyst 9.10 on Linux or with DirectX under Windows. Better graphic quality, no lags, almost every time 30+ fps on both systems, with pretty high quality setting. Thanks for the great update

On the games options before you click 'enter game world' under where you choose shader model it should list your graphic card.

Not that big of a deal, but quite annoying nonetheless.

Maybe an hour ago I was with Barroomhero chasing an lower lvl ignis. When samal came to my view I started lagging a lot... (This happens basically every time a fort comes visible to me. Same as larger amount of players.) So i though I turn away as I won't catch anything in this lag. Suddenly out of thin air I get hit with a beast attack. Problem is the barbarian stays invisible for the whole fight. The picture included shows my lying down after his kick with no barb insight. Didn't even get a you're defeated by xxxxx message... Now lag is one thing, that I need to live with, but invisible enemies can be rather fatal.

Managed to capture the flashing effect in the begining of some spells. Screenshots are made on Amun, but same occur on Horus too. Maybe eyes lie me, but sometimes i see flashing rectangles when some spell animations show. Same for green rectangles in rare situations when i select some player.

Cast starts on a second 30. At 30_2 a very strong image of animation appear for a very short time and dissapear right after. Real animation start to show at 31_1.

I've heard this has happened with me too (me being invisible, chasing Isemon). But before the update. My guess is Ise was using the testing client.

ok totally offtopic but

i used to run dual systems linux and xp on xp the new update really
didnt work for me, so i (ahem legally honest) got windows 7
in windows the game is really really great even better then under linux for me.
Those of you runnng windows, try getting windows 7 it worked for me.


On the whole before anyone complains about this new engine, I recommend
you all look for a solution yourselves, it isnt THAT difficult

FPS = 8 - 14 for Shader 3.0 or 4.0 - unplayable - otherwise, same issues as listed for Shader 2.0

FPS = 35-40 for Shader 2.0 - very slow to download resources, do not have sound for up to 7 minutes before enough information downloaded, mob textures not always present, sky screwed up (sometimes black, sometimes white), animation associated with spells cast sometimes blocky in nature, sporadic game crashes (more frequent than 1.0.8 client), no noticeable difference in viewing distance, graphics look no better than previous iterations.

FPS = 100+ for Fixed Pipeline - same issues as listed for Shader 2.0, with addition of custom paint colors not showing.

Autodetect function used. Various settings configurations tested, but no significant change noted. When in experimental phase, Regnum client worked infinitely better, graphics were better looking (Shader 2.0...Shader 3.0 and 4.0 still had poor FPS performance), and there seemed to be better stability (i.e., no crashes). In fact, the Regnum experience was sufficient for me to stop using the 1.0.8 and move completely to the experimental client before the 12/16/09 technology update.

Currently, I am trying to download the 15023 KB update, but have gotten stuck at 8858 KB during multiple attempts. Subsequently, I am not able to get in and play/test the new technology client and associated patches.

nVidia GeForce 8600GT, newest drivers, 2GB RAM DDR2, AMD Dual Core 2.11 Ghz (Win XP, sp2)

I can't use OpenGL, because all spell effects flicker, also textures flicker. On Direct3D, best quality for graphics etc, works nice, but I have big problem:

Not only the sky seems to be broken, the underwater nonexistant, but also the shadows seem to be weird.

Except for that, everything seems to be fine.

intel core 2 duo @ 2.16
nvidia geforce 8600m gt
o/s pre-installed windoze vista hp

problem: running slow ,start/stop , freezing , laggish etc.
mod looks funny when cast , large black hole around warlock.
