the game can't start properly
After installing ROL. I tried the shortcut on the desktop and the one in the menu. Both of them can't launch the game. I copied the command in the shortcut and run it in the terminal directly from my home directory and get the login window properly. After I entered my password and get into another window on the bottom of which showing "verifying" the program crashes with a message box showing "can't create file 'SelfUpdate/rolauncher' (error 2: no such file or directory)".
When I checked the process status I found that there are still two process of rolauncher running in the background. Meanwhile, the data files of ROL was copying in the upper directory of the installing position. When all the data files including rolauncher and uninstall were copied, the windows showing "verifying" show up again and then dispear with the message box showing the "live" directory is already existed (I can't remember the error message accurately). If I left the rolauncher processes running the upper and upper directory of the installing directory will have some strange files appeared. I don't know if I have run the game properly from the command line. I need some hints to run the game under Linux. the content of the system.nfo [CPU] - Vendor Name: IineIntel - Model Name: Unknown - Family: 6 - Model: 7 - Stepping: 10 - Feature: 7 - Os Support: 0 - Checks: 15 [GPU] - OpenGL Support: 1 - Shader Model: 4 - Video memory: 524288 - GPU Info: GeForce 9300M GS/PCI/SSE2 [Distribution] LSB Version: :core-3.1-ia32:core-3.1-noarch:graphics-3.1-ia32:graphics-3.1-noarch Distributor ID: n/a Description: Red Flag Desktop 6.0 SP1 (SZ) Release: n/a Codename: n/a Last edited by breadbread1984; 12-20-2009 at 05:27 AM. |
