Technology Update - Negative feedback and problems

On my intel card (yep, newest drivers), I just have a black screen in the place I should have char selection screen, in safe mode as well.

• Still having problem with portions of the sky showing crazy artifacts and going all white.

• Having difficulty selecting enemy combatants.

• Frame rate down from original release of new technology client from 50-65 FPS to ~30 FPS

• Can run Shader 4.0, but frame rate way too low to play. BTW: It sure looks nice with Shader 4.0...wish I could play using Shader 4.0...Santa <hint hint>

• Random crashes...latest...banging on fort door, boom, I am out of the game.

The problem with the sky seems to occur after a random crash. Upon logging off, and then back on...everything seems to work well, until the next crash.

I wish I could run on shadow 4. It really looks nice. Now the graphics on our 2laptops are much worse than before On the 1st laptop (see below) we have to run it on Fixed pipeline and on the 2nd on shade 2. Bad, bad, bad........

Well No personal problems here..

However I'm not sure if we can attribute this to the New Tech update or w/e... But Daen Rha has yet to respawn since the update... Please can this be fixed

There seems to be an issue on Initiation Island in the small area where you collect the mature spikes for the quest. It looks a bit like a laser light show when you go by, and I have confirmed with other people that they see the same thing, so I know it's not my video card or hardware at fault. I've attached a few screenies but they hardly capture what it looks like when in the game

solved my problem atlast! from ubuntu 8.04, i upgraded to ubuntu 9.10. i installed nvidia driver 190.53 (my old one is 173.14.12). but i encountered trouble with my sound but it was solved with installing libopenal1.

the performance is great! from 8-17fps in shader 2.0 i now have 22-38fps(not yet tried with wars)! with fixed pipeline i can have 40-65fps! Huge performance increase!! less lag too!

btw, nice job NGD!! really love it now!
