ps: just listing the spells you can still cast when confused as a conjurer: Arcane Missile, Blaze, Beetle Swarm, Prickling Ivy, Splinter Wall, Sultars Devouring Mass, Mana Burn, Energy Borrow
Considering this is a thread about confuse and not about support conjurers I give you a list of spells you can cast when dizzied:

Thank you.
We can now continue discussing the whether to keep or remove confuse, but we will carefully avoid mentioning its impact on different classes in the game. It is simply not related.

Just looking at the first post you say that the first person to cast confuse wins.

This is untrue, classes can win a fight win confuse on them. E.g hunter vs hunter fights 1 confuse does not mean the the confused will die, yes it makes the other hunters fight harder but not impossible.

It shouldn't really be removed imo, as was said it disables a support conjurer but think of in a situation like this: 2 hunters who are getting farmed at a fort by another realm camo and then confuse enemy conjurers, this allows the realm being farmed to make a push towards getting the fort back because other realm not getting healed. Confuse most of the time however is mindlessly spammed in 1 vs 1 situations to gain an upper hand on the opponent.

Yes confuse does have a way too long duration but it would be better to nerf it rather then remove it.

Didn't read the post above this before posting.

Camo hunters dont have this much fire power anymore, they need some time to kill any class, including full support conju. If your teammate realm see a hunter leaving camo and attacking your only full support conju and do nothing, i really think the problem is not with the spell.

Plus since update confuse has a prety chance to be used by archers in any class, i myself have lvl3 in mym marks.

The problem is not a hunter attacking a conjurer from camo, marksmen can hit them from range 50 for example, it's very difficult that allies can help the conjurer. The problem is that all classes can not cast buffs, defenses, run ,etc during a very long time, and for support conjurers is lethal for their gameplay.

Confuse like several other spells needs retooling.

It should be a sure dizzy for part of the duration and then, any hit on the victim after that time has a percentage chance to break the remaining time effect of the spell.

So the archer knows they have a set time with which to operate. After that elapses they then know that the chances of them (or another ally) breaking the spell via hits are high.

In a RvR situation, the players now have the option to take a conjurer out of play for a time but they know if they hit that conjurer, it has a good chance to break confuse. The team now has to decide whether to try to kill the conjurer (and risk breaking the effect) or neutralising the conjurer (over a longer time) is the way to go.
This could be a possible way to address confuse.

Knights and mages can dispel feint, DI can prevent feint, they could change the duration of feint to 35sec.
Nuff said.
