After messing around with my knight a lot on Amun I realised I'm probably gonna keep the same setup I'm currently using, but ofc gonna miss a few lvl 1 skills:

Blunt 15
Forceful Blow 1
Brutal Impacts 4
Ribs Breaker 1
Mind Squasher 4

Missing lvl 1 Crushing and Jaw breaker


Piercing 11
Balestra 3


Tactics 15
Feint 4
Spring 3
Caution 4
Defensive Stance 4
Kick 3


Vanguard 19
Stone Temple 5
Troll's Skin 5
Heroic Presence 5
Army of One 4

Missing Challenge and Taunt.


Shields 15
Shield Bash 3
Shield Wall 4
Steadiness 4

Missing lvl 1 precise block and the block passive.


Slashing 15
Disable Limb 3
Iron Skin 1

There's 2 skill I'm really gonna miss having, Ribs Breaker and Crushing, what could easily be fixed by taking points from, for example, Brutal Impacts. But I deliberately kept my power points as they are in Horus so as to see if these would be enough not no change my setup.

I noticed that you get the 4 freebies at first, but when you reset powers you lose them — but don't get the points from them.

I assume the bug here is actually that initially the 4 power points in question are not removed from the total.

Downbloading the update as I type.

It sounds good on paper, however one thing...

You removed the ability for protection spells to stack - does this mean that Mana Pylon cannot be stacked anymore?

If so.. Then killing boss mobs just became impossible.

Balance is achieved by carefully adjusting a system, it will never be achieved by violently changing the core of how the skill system is implemented over and over.

Apparently you have not learned this yet, apparently you will never learn it.

I really wonder how you come up with such ideas.

I've personally have learn a lot in my 16 years working on games.
I wonder how much you know about game development.
Please don't be so naive. We would not try something like this if we didn't truly think that it's for the best.
We cannot continue building a game that's based on such conceptual errors.

You want us to balance something that's impossible to balance by design.

What about reworking attributes design like Int increasing mage's magic resistance and others cannot counter this anyhow?

I've tested this, and with this update each char needs at least 2 more points at 50 than current amun server version. Heck, even 5 more points would be great.

I do applaud the changes to the spells themselves. But there just isn't enough points at all to even come close to a moderately versatile build as before (on barb anyway).

EDIT: THANK YOU for the fixing of Onslaught! I'll miss the 10m area but at 6m and 14sec @ 310mp it feels a lot more usable and worth the cost.

hmmm...

you can have the very same powers you where using before.
how about taking away 5 points from the other powers that you have in level 5 or 4 maybe?

remember all other users will have to do the same

I really do like most of the changes, and I do like this concept, it will make players have to think about their builds and apply tactics based upon it.

But I always thought specialization was for insects--I didn't want my barb to be limited to one role. I try to build my characters to be like swiss-army knives, can readily adapt to most situations with moderate use of accessible low-level powers.

Maybe throw an extra point in there for level 50's (ya know, as a grad present from NGD )?
