Simple Question.
Can the skill whirlwind from barbs be resisted? Someone told me that MoD and Static field cant be resisted. They can only be resisted by DI or UM etc. they are both auras. whirlwind is a aura too, so it cant also be resisted?

While you cannot resist auras, your character may be able to ignore the effect of it by spells like unstoppable madness or mind blank. (Sotw is no use against MoD)
Every time you re-enter the enemie's aura, things are calculated again and you might be affected by it then. I don't know if whirlwind is still an aura (otherwise the spell's description would say something else) - if it is not, your enemies might resist (or ignore) it. Area-instant spells like these work just like area-buffs (eg. shield wall). Regarding your question, I personally do not think it is possible to resist whirlwind if it is really an aura. Finally, you cannot "resist" auras casted by your allies; if you stand in someone elses mana community edit. oh srsly fuck yourself forum, half of my post disappeard because of no reason congrats |

Most don't skill it, 'tis true, but under certain circumstances, like at the door during fort defense, it can work ok in conjunction with the use of UM (&/or RotE) prior to also using a fulm/exp wave combo there. As stated tho, most don't skill it due to having better relative uses for those 5 power points in their barb-builds.
