the only problem is, that they dont have the money for it, since its a free game. or at least they are working on it. would indeed be alot easier if they had the money. |

Hello,
As mentioned before on other posts, the LAG problems have nothing to do with the server infrastructure or the available bandwidth. In fact, the servers are located on a fully equipped datacenter in Europe with lots of bandwidth at our disposal. The problem is located entirely on the server code, the reasons for this are mainly because the game is still under development and under heavy testing. We are working on the solution and we are already doing preliminary tests on the new server code. When this is finally implemented, the game will run smoothly enough to be perfectly playable. It's just a matter of time. We are hoping that this won't take no more than one or two weeks tops. Btw, regarding the language "problem", we already have something in mind that will allow people from several countries and languages to play along with no communication problems whatsoever. This will be addressed after the current performance problems are resolved. Regards

"no communication problems whatsoever"
Wow! You have my attention. Does this mean auto-translation or something? I know you can't answer, but my interested is piqued By the way guys (NGD), as Sassyas said this game has a lot going for it. I am impressed and the fact that it is free to play is very nice. I look forward to when the final version is released and we can help fund development. Btw, has there been any discussion on how support can be paid? I truly hate monthly fees, but one timers are great (such as Guildwars).

Hahaha,
I should be more careful on how I announce things. No, there is not going to be a tricoder or anything . We are planning to add optional channels that you can join. For instance, you could join a global realm channel for english speaking users. This won't be enabled by default for spanish speaking users and viceversa, but of course if anybody wants to peek at the "other" languages channels, they can. Well, about the funding. We already announced it, when we said the game was going to be free to play. There will be premium content, just like a lot of games out there (SilkRoad, GunBound, Fly for Fun, etc). We are trying to reduce the gameplay impact of this premium content elements, so there is no paying / non-paying users segmentation. This way, the basic game would stay free and those who want something else or different for their characters, or want to help the project, may buy premium items. Regards
