You have been disconnected from the server
So I was talking to my good friends of the GoP, when Biwie crashed. We started joking about who had killed him(I did it for the money), when I got this message:
You have been disconnected from the server WHY WHY WHY???? It happens every 10 minutes I'm on! The lag is gone, but now this! Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

Hit ALT-P to bring up the ping statistics, it may be that your internet connection is peering badly to the server, when it happens, try running a traceroute to see where the problem is; the only time I encounter a disconnect from server is when it crashes, and that doesn't happen too often (anymore (: )

in linux you can pop open a terminal and type "traceroute" and then the address name (or ip), in windows it's the same, you pop up a terminal (I think it's called command for 9x kernels, and cmd for nt kernels), but since windows has its 8 characters max in a filename legacy, they actually renamed it to tracert, other than that it's the same.

All right! I now can open a terminal and run a traceroute, but how do I make it relevant to Regnum? When I type in tracert and press enter I get something about usage. Where do I go from here?
(and by the way thank you for being so patient with me here

You need to tell traceroute to actually trace an address, I believe this one is the regnum server: 212.214.41.53

When you encounter the problem your initial post was about, and no I'm not certain that is the ip, I did a netstat while I was playing and I assume that's the address, feel free to do your own netstat while playing to find out. (just type it)
