Running Mandriva 2008.0 on Compaq Evo N1015v notebook.

i can only roughly guess that maybe a broken resource is crashing your game.
you could try renaming the regnumfolder and do a complete reinstall.

and is this the whole backtrace?
if not and the first line shows somethink like "glibc detected" or "double free..." then try starting ROL like this:

Code:
MALLOC_CHECK_=0 ./rolauncher

Yes, it is whole bakctrace(crash & log files contents).
I have sound/music turned off, safe mode forced, running in 800x600x16 mode.
The last setting did not affect, still getting crashes at same things.
What else i could try?

It's official, Syrtis makes Linux crash!

PS: don't give up too soon, hopefully Surak will pop by.

Hi,

I just updated my linux open source ATI driver to 6.7.196 (includes xrandr 1.2 new implementation with xxorg update as well)

Now game does not crash on new character hair selection but it still crashes with same backtrace as before ( [0xffffe420] /usr/lib/dri/radeon_dri.so [0xb691b621]) after downloading resources when character is selected. There is still few things also: in character selection screen character textures are overlapped by surroundings textures so character is invisible and if i leave game load up minimized it runs fine until i reopen window. This is definately is bug in the way how game uses ATI _tnl_draw_prims()->_tnl_run_pipeline(). Please suggest how i can avoid running tnl pipelines on my old ATI or maybe i could use some dev patch to try.

By the way, if i startup m$ windows xp, the game starts saying my video card is not supported but runs under wine with crash as described.
