New English language clan thread

On December 2, in Syrtis, I'll found a new clan. I'm testing interest here to see if there are people over level 15 that are interested in this start-up venture.

This is your chance to come in on the ground floor of something that can be a lot of fun.

As the date moves closer, I'll follow up here with more details about times etc.

I don't think there is anything wrong with any of the current English language clans, the Inquisition, GoP, and OoD are all great and have many fine and helpful players. I encourage anyone playing to not hesitate to join any of them.

I'm lvl14, but by then I'll prob be like 20 so I'm cool with joining up. If you see me my char is Kamerlon. I usually hang out around Fisgeal but who knows you might see me farther in the inner realm.

There is an old Sir Arthur Conan Doyle book called "The White Company" set in the Hundred Years War. It is based loosly on a mercenary force of the same name.

I thought it would be an appropriate name for the clan.

I'm looking forward to meeting you Farbault, and hopefully we can find enough charter members on the day to found the clan.

So far, in game chatting is practically useless, everyone speaks spanish, so i'm always on the look-out for an english speaking clan. Right now I don't "need" a clan, since I'm only lvl 20, i'm still doing quests and stuff, I don't plan to go into wz anytime soon. But I really miss the social side of mmo's, because like I said, I can't talk to anyone in-game. So a clan would really help this, and also would help me to join parties, since I'm always solo right now.

One thing that is also important to me, is role-play. Will this clan be a generic clan, or will it have some sort of "role" in-game? Role-playing is an important, yet neglected part of almost all mmoRPG's, they are usually reduced to just MMO. If it is an rp clan, will it be a class/race specific clan? what alliance will it be? good/neutral/evil? (i guess in syrtis you cant really be evil, but it would be fun ) What will it's purpose be? Defending our forts? sabotaging the enemy? Taking over enemy forts? Monster slaying?

maybe all of that, sorted into clan departments? that's a cool thing a clan I used to be in planeshift did, they divided their clan into divisions, to do different stuff, had leaders for every department etc. They had a training department, were high-level players would teach others pvp tactics and train them in the arena, they had a sabotage department, trying to spy on enemy clans, they had a crafting department in which players specialized into crafting/repairing weapons and armors. We could have these (well, except for crafting, because regnum doesnt have crafting), and also fort wars specific departments, etc. Stuff like that really enhances role playing, which I really like.

So, tell us a few more stuff about your clan, (and you, since you will be the leader) and maybe I would like to join!
