Cursed ring or how to ruin a perfectly good update...

Hello everyone,

Some of you are probably wondering about a certain item called "Cursed ring" and several others.
We are also asking ourselves the same thing.

The recent update was made to restore the rings and amulets that were sold to NPC's this last few days, this was in response to the event items we promptly deleted to avoid an escalade of balance issues.

If there is a ring that shouldn't be there, well, we are looking at each other confused and wishing that this week passes by as soon as possible, hoping that everybody will think that this was just a bad dream (we certainly hope so).

So, in the meantime, you can curse at us in the forums, that's why we are here (to get cursed at, im your regular tomatoe throwing target) as we check what the heck went wrong with our logs.

Cheer up... sometimes computer programs go mad and kill people (at least on movies), this one only gives useless items

I'm missing something... Why do I have 2 cursed rings? Is this a curse?

Btw, no problems (even if I spent a nice amount of gold to buy a clairvoyance amulet :| ), to do mistakes is an human matter, even computers do it very well

The explanation is really priceless, YMMD

how to avoid things like this?
test, test, test - the game really needs more testing before deployment. Things regularly get fucked up in the first run
oh and dont let the apprentice screw around at the database

a propos cursed rings:
do i get a luck penalty while i carry them?
can i take them off after i equipped them?
(nethack anyone?)
