Story time

A story of my first time in the wz with my new hunter. Forgive me if this makes no sense or has spelling errors, I'm still shaking from the adrenaline.

Ok so it starts out with my newly lvled 29 hunter. I decided it was time to check out the wz so I entered and chilled for awhile at central hoping someone english speaking would come by and be interested in doing some hunts or something. No such luck. After awhile I got bored so I went out solo. I tracked two warriors southwest of my position and decided to close in to get a better look. Purples, damn. I noticed they were trying to flank central from the southeast so I decided to follow them and see where they ended up, they turned to the right just before getting into visual of save. I decided to make my move and attacked. It drew their attention and I led them back to save declaring "Hey guys! I brought food". One warrior took notice and gave chase along with myself. He got killed twice before we were eventually able to defeat one of them. while the other tucked tail and ran when reinforcements arrived.

So there I was solo again. I decided to check out the scenery, I went up near stone and debated for awhile whether to cross the bridge into red lands and try to find some easy lvler to pick on, but decided against that idea..yes too risky. So I made a clockwise move around our borders checking things out, nada. I made the mistake of thinking that the beach was a popular lvling and hunting place, So I went there. Right on cue I tracked an archer to the northeast. I move to high ground to see if I could spot him, since I don't have range data on my track skills yet. I track again and find he moved to the northwest. I shortly after made visual contact. To my dread it was a high lvl hunter. Damnit I thought, I'm toast.

He immediately spotted me and gave chase, I turned tail and cranked up the mobility. I was slowly losing ground due to his faster passive and mobility. At one point he casted another speed spell and started gaining ground at amazing speed. He got off a ensnaring and that's when I knew I was doomed. He was gaining even faster now. I noticed a large formation of rocks and I thought if only I could get to cover I might have a chance to hide.

I quickly made a sharp turn into the rocks and started casting camo, Time seemed to slow to a crawl as I watched the blue bar creep across my screen. Any moment my adversary will turn that corner. Hurry up and cast! My worse fear was realized when I saw him round the corner, as I vanish into air not a second later.

Just my luck, inbetween the rocks is choke full of aggros, and I'm wading right through the middle of them as my pursuer watches closely to see where these infernal rock golems lead him. Right to me that's where. I can see him behind his monitor laughing. Silly n00b. Ah but they finally cease chase, I'm free. Now just to shake my attacker. We'll you'd be surprised at how much -25% speed really is, when your trying to run out of visual range of someone.

I knew I'd never make it out of visual so I must try to fool him somehow to gain a lead. I start running back where we came, through the rocks I thought and out the other end. He'd follow where the golem last was and I'd be heading in the opposite direction. Perfect. I wasn't more than 5 body lengths behind him before I see the unmistakable casting of "track realm enemy". Alright buddy, time for a rope a dope. As soon as the animation came to an end I did a full 180 and started running straight for him. At first he didn't flinch and I started to doubt my tactic. Then suddenly he started running. Right for me. This is my chance.

He did just as I wanted, He booked it in the original direction I was headed. Right through the middle of the rock formations and out the other end. As soon as He was out of visual, I casted mobility, canceling camo and ran like hell. Back to the safety of the inner realm.

Awwwwww... Nice story. If only I could remember my first time too.

Ah my first time im wz was awsome....i was lvl 30 and went with 2 high lvl conjus.....awww i miss em;(

My first time in wz was dismal. I gather up the courage to take the teleporter out, I look around for a second, walk a few steps forward, I see someone running towards me with a big cat trailing behind him, I clicked on him and his name was blue so I thought "Ah he's with us. He sure does seem to be in a big hurr--" FZZZSSHHHOOM dead.

I can only guess it was shield piercing.

Ha ha haaa. I love that Froste. Not because you died but because it's a funny experience.

So now I remember a little of my first.

... I just thought (out of curiosity) how it looks like in the WarZone. Maybe I was level ....... lower than 30 (I think) that time. So I got in, looked around, "hmmmmmmm not much there" and started "strolling" to a camp I've never seen before. "Wow we have a camp!" I said clicking on the NPCs. Then I decided to just sit by and chat with clan (as I almost ALWAYS do) when someone (mage) came around and waved at me. I didn't check who it was but I told the clan instead. Then I saw a meteor landed upon me "What? Why is that mage attacking me?" I still went on chatting to the clan. "Run to the gate!" shouted my clan leader, but then the mage stopped. So I clicked on it and it was red (not Red red but Ignis red). Oh well, he waved again and went away. So I thought, "Maybe she was challenging me and saw me refused so he went to look for someone else willing to fight. Hmmmm, so this is how it is in here......... Quite decent. I like it....". But then someone else (another red mage) came by and Silenced, Meteor, Lightninged me and I was back at Doshim before I even got to stand with the clan chat shouting "RUNNNN!!!!".
He he he. It was a funny and really stupid experince.

Haha, that was a short travel, Froste.

My first steps in WZ were in my Syrtis time with a lvl 18 hunter somewhere in June. The only people I met were the one at central save. I walked to Algaros thinking it was Herbred and took the road back to central which looked to another save to me (much big saves with shops here I thought). I ended up in Swamp being killed by a guardian ghost(overpowered Ghost of the slaughter, ooh old times when they were still feared). I did not see a single red or Alsirean.

Well....to expand the story a little....i tried killing lvl 50 mobs and it took me 15min to kill one

then meni was attacked....we rushed there and the place was full of goats(not really, those were the days alsius was really low on fighting force)....we waited for more ignis to come even when i *INSISTED* to go and kill them^^
anyway when our forces gathered we attacked alsius...i was 1st in lines....and 1st to die....the battle lasted 15min and it was really fun to watch....i finally got revived when alsius was pushed in the fort....we crushed the gate and i ran in....fortunatly i didnt die because i got healed every sec and i even gained few rp!and after that i had to go eat and i logged....
