Question about weapons
What is better a bow that is 10-15 damage but has a Damage +10 next to its name, or a 19-27 dmg bow with Damage -2 next to it, I am confused what the Damage + or Minus means

The best of the bows is the first one, but there is really little difference between them.

Also you have to consider which range and speed the bow has. The faster the speed the lower the damage and the higher the range the lower the damage.
All armor and waepons have a quality, it goes from worn (or even deffective, dunno) to master. This quality influences the damge/armor bonus of items. Also the material is important. A bow can made from fine wood or from Xymerald Lamina and much more materials. Armor for example can be made of leather and hardened lether. It effects the armor/damagepoints as well.

Are the effects from differences in quality, material etc clearly displayed in the weapon stats, or can there be hidden modifiers as well? (I.e. is "damage +2, to hit +1" the whole story?)

If I have it right, quality goes from:
Woods:
Metals (might have bronze and silver reversed, I forget):
Bones (don't recall if there is a "soft bone" or not, would be bad ;D):
Leathers:
Items asterisked are what the item would be if the material/quality were listed; for example, you find a "short bow (common)", consider it "shortbow of fine wood (common)" and so on and so forth. I lost my notes on the +/- of each material/quality, will edit if I find them. |
