libgthread library issue
When i try to run the 32 bit linux client in terminal i get this:
regnum32$ ./rolauncher ./rolauncher: error while loading shared libraries: libgthread-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I've tried that molloc thing too.... Now, i have searched here, and on the ubuntu forums and have had scant luck finding anything relating to this. I cannot find libgthread in synaptic anywhere....this game was working just fine till i reloaded the os, so my thinking is that it is a dependancy of some other program. The 64bit client works ok, its kind of hard to be in the wz sometimes, as i see the grid lines most of the time, and form time to time i see some crazy stuff coming off of mobs and pcs, mostly pcs; it seems to me like it is poorly rendered textures, usually large triangles coming off of movable objects, stretching from them to the edge of the screen. As i have mentioned in another thread, 3d works great, getting 8500 fps on glxgears, and other 3d games work just fine. Yes, i have tried playing with gfx settings, turned off all extra effects, turned down AA and such, and still get the issue, sometimes worse. I took a few screens of the crazy stuf coming from pcs, but when i try to take screens of the gird its like an old tv when your antenna was just catching the edge of a signal and all warped and scanlined. I can deal with that for a while i guess, but what im looking to do is see if the 32 bit client works like it used to before i nuked the old os....it could just be a video problem, but i dont want to mess with that if i dont have to. If anyone could help me out, with either one of these issues, that would really be great.

And now, when i try ./rolauncher i get.... ./rolauncher ./rolauncher: error while loading shared libraries: libgthread-2.0.so.0: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 Now, i know im trying to run a 32 bit program using x64 architecture, but it worked fine before....i guess i dont know enough to know where the 32 bit file is, i cannot find it in a search. if anyone happens to know a 32 bit program that includes the same deps as regnum, let me know and ill just synaptic that.

in debian this file is part of the package called
libglib2.0-0

Libglib seems to be installed.....
I did however, see some of the same problems with the linking of libs in wine, some of the same libs too. Since i had wine installed on the previous os, i thought that i might try wine here too, and see if it would link things for me......so far, it is working.

But if you run a 64bit system your libglib is probably the 64bit package not the 32bit you needed --- but why aren't you using the 64bit regnum client?

I do use it, but i get all sorts of crazy stuff on my screen, poorly rendered textures, grid lines with textures on overlay, triangles and such centered on a pc, sometimes me, that extends all the way to the end of the screen; its not so bad in realm, but once i get into the wz, there are certain places that its really hard to be, like Meni for one.

Those are what i get on a fairly regular basis on the x64 client. Ive spent a loto f time playing with gfx settings, and it seems the lower they go, the worse to problem gets. So far, on that 32 bit client that wine somehow tricked into working, ive got great gfx, little choppiness, and no sound, but i saw threads on that early, so i can fix that when i get a chance. For me it just seems like 32 bit works better....maybe after next update ill give 64 a whirl again and see if it works a little better.
