Turning point

Ok so I've come to that scary crossroad in a young characters life. To choose my subclass. I created him fully intending to go barbarian. But I spoke to a friend and he said they do a hellva lot of damage, but have low defence. I knew these things but it got me to thinking. I've not had any melee experience what so ever. So there's some things I know you guys can help me out with. To help me decide.

First what is unbuffed base damage for a barb and knight? And second what is fully buffed most badass skill damage for a barb and a knight? I think these two answers will help greatly in my decision.

if you know how to use one pick knight and lately they started hitting alot harder

well it all depends...a knight can focus on damage and be a really good damage dealer with good defence...but...do NOT confuse us with barbs...a barb can hit twice as any knight...and they dont have so little defence...a fully buffed barb can really be a problem...

A Barbarians only trouble if it gets to you.

If you play a Knight you can take your time,

Agreed with tari...but many barbs just try to do as much as damage possible and dont use many/any defensive spells....btw i have 1k AP with caution lvl1
