why are ethereal arrows blocked?

It says it cuts through target's defenses. WTF? blocked about 50% of the time.

"Cuts through target's defenses" in the sense of its damage not being reduced by damage-reducing skill, like Acrobatic, Frenzy, AoO, Steel Skin and such (damage will always be 600 in lvl 5). But it has to pass through the evasion/block/resistance layer anyway.

Although it's not logical that the spell can be blocked, think from a balance perspective.

It still has to pierce to then get through the defenses, if not blocked, BAM! If blocked, no chance to pierce

ok thanks. Non knights also block it too. Getting pissed at seeing so many shots blocked by non-knight characters.

Non knights often block it because of knights. Deflecting Barrier gives all allies 50% chance to block ranged attacks and skills, area 10. If you want to know who's currently affected by the aura just look for small blue circles.

something's really goofy. I see 100% blocked arrows in the presence of knights. I only wish it were 50%.

yup, 600health points every 15 seconds from a range of 30 or more not affected by armor points or resistances...

I think nothing bad if knight can block it and can give this possibility to allies, since the deflecting barrier spell doesn't cover the caster...
