What is up with the lag?
Ok so I decided to make a new char after a couple months hiatus. And the lag is worse than I ever remember it being. The lag is beyond horrible, I die while in massive lag spikes where i'm just standing there, which has never happened to me before. I've noticed there's only around 500-550 players online when these spikes happen which is far less than the usual back in the day of 700+ players. Just curious if one of the updates messed with something or what? I might just have to retire again until these issues are resolved. I'm having a very difficult time playing.

Today's lag was caused by a server problem that has just been solved.

Most of my lag is from memory leaks, and subsequent paging. I run Xubuntu(very low on memory usage) on 512MB of RAM, but every time I enter a battle, I have to spend at least several minutes paging out.
And it continues to happen throughout the entire battle, causing frequent stalling and "lag locks". It would be nice if the memory requirements of the game were greatly reduced in subsequent patches (more specifically, the memory leaks being fixed), so that I don't need a 1GB-2GB machine to run Regnum acceptably. It's the game using up a TON of memory (VM Size: 700MB+) that has become my primary source of bad performance. I really hope that NGD does something about this, it's the only kind of lag left in the game for me. I also get spell lag and 'too many people' lag, but only if I play during the "rush hour", which is only for a few hours every day. Regards.

At the moment I am hitting 1-6 FPS ratio ea fort war or battle even on Lowest Settings Possible.
So war is unplayable for me, I had a 8-14 FPS ratio always, Anyway we will see if my lag is reduced once I get my new Graphics Card. |

Most of my lag comes from the streak of light thingy.
