Okay, can sombody explain how the hunter skills tame creature, tame beast, and control monster work. And I don't mean what they do. I mean how the level of the spell affects what you can take over. Anything would be much appreciated.

Hello Kratos50,

Tame beast - captures things such as bears , hyneas anything with 4 legs basically.
Control monsters- Captures things with 2 legs such as toltars etc.
Tame creatures - is things like snakes.

Level them up as high as you can go so that you can catch things that are your level.

Basically, if you want a blue pet, you will need the max lvl of the tame spell that you can have, i.e. for a coral snake you may need level 2 tame lesser creature, for example. The higest level pet you can have before needing lvl 5 tame spells, is a gol tar. (AFIAK.)

Besides of that, all you need to know is how to kill your own pet (so you can change it) and revive a pet.

It is also helpful to know which pet type to use - the ones that hit hard.

This is a rough guide:

If I remember correctly, it is something like this:

Lvl 1 tame skill = Lvl 1 -11 pet
Lvl 2 = Lvl 12-21 pet
Lvl 3 = Lvl 22-31 pet
Lvl 4 = Lvl 32-41 pet
Lvl 5 = Lvl 42-51 pet

Been so long since I've had to worry with it, I could be off somewhat.
