Default Arrow question for the masses

What arrows do best damage to what class?

Archer =
Mage =
Warrior =

Currently there's piercing, slashing, and a combo of blunt|pierce. Anyone know the answer

I think, but cannot confirm yet till I come home and look again at some data, its:
Mages: slash
warriors: blunt
archers: pierce
the best way is to have all 3 and quick switch during combat to see which one gives better result. difference is not so big

against marksmen its definitely piercing as their highlvl armor is at best normal against it.
And for the other classes it depends on their choice of armor.

So either to recon all armor of all classes and learn their resistances and switch arrows accordingly or ... not

lol I guess vs mages and barbs it doesn't make much difference, it is (almost always) effective anyway, vs marksmen you seem to have an answer and vs knights it really doesn't matter.

It does noticable difference (tested on arena). Only problem is that barb can mix armor so it is harder to choose good arrows. But it depend on armor type not class so best is to check armors at shop :]

Lvl 50 hunter armor is very good vs pierce, good vs slashing, and bad vs blunt.

I use composite pierce/blunt arrows with 2x deadly sight rings to add 30-50 slash dmg per shot. I top this off with a +22 fire dmg bow. Seems to be quite effective.

Yea, due to those boosted items, there is no strict rule if its one type be effective, because not always boosted items have same scheme of reduction as other lvl 50 pieces from store. In general, when they were only standard sets of armors, what I wrote was general speaking of types vs classes.
I started some time ago making notes from lvl 30 till 50 for each part of armor in clan armory, tracking resist stats, and saw they have some "order" of recombining stats. However, i couldnt finish that project till the end alone, since there are 6 classes and tons of stuff, so I stopped. If I find these days more time, I ll try to match some armors from 45-50.

i just cant be bothered to switch arrows around so i simply pick the ones with most overall dmg.

But the arrow kinds have a noticible effect in the inflicted damage. Its just not practical to switch arrows around.
And its not about the class, its about the armor, to answer comps initial question

True....but typically I know who's coming (thanks track) so I'd like to equip the best arrows for the job. Thanks for the effort guys..

It doesnt matter against knights?

Ok... so a knight buys the dueling armor (Very good against piercing) and gets Caution at lvl 4 (3 points less) and Deflect proyectiles (4 points less) at lvl 5. Now, if you attack him with piercing arrows, u wont do much damage, but try changing to slashing... The knight will loose Deflect Proyectiles + 200 mana and his good armor against piercing.

It doesnt matter? :P
