Piggyback for conjurers and some questions about instant spells
I'm sure that many conjurers have noticed that there is some kind of piggyback possible:
cast and instant after a normal one and sometimes it is possible to cast two spells with one animation, but the character will stop for a short period, unable to move. So here are my questions: 1) NGD, is this intended? 2) If yes: why is this so hard to do compared to other classes? It seems harder with some spell combinations than with others (amb sacrifice + reg self works quite well for example) and very hard when user numbers are high. 3) the animation seems to limit the time between two instant spells, + Attack speed items don't seem to have any impact on the time between two spells when using a fast staff. Is there spell frequency cap? 4) The animation makes you stop even for casting instant spells. I know this rather a serious balance question but warriors can jump through their enemies and use an instant while doing that, without stopping. Is this intended or simply some side effect caused by the spell casting animation?

For what i know a piggyback its a spell just after a normal attack. They changed it for warriors ages ago because there is 0 cast time spell for warriors who were too much, specially that old contusion with 125% weapon damage + 50% chance to stun. You can piggyback with mages just like archers do but mages lack of 0 cast time spells, specially warlocks. And trust me, that change was a whole difference for warriors, i remember the first time i went out of a trip alive was because of that change. But well trip was +100% weapon damage and all that shit. |

i dont think this is intended, i usualy do it ambitious + blaze and zarky (now not posible with somons). i think this is a result of lag such as casting a power that puts you in an ofensive stance then casting another power makes 2 in 1 animation and i think that lags the server abit.
in my opinion this is a trick on lag, but for wariors i think its a balance isue i gues. |

you can piggyback spells as long as at least one of them is instant.
but you have to time it exactly. my guess is that is has to do with the spell animation and is not intended |

It works EXACTLY off the animation. Using that I thought the max cap in speed was +20% boost, as there was no difference from the +30% boost. Then I learned using spells with no casting time after 1 normal hit breaks the speed cap, and I was attacking at surely +30% speed boost. For example you have to do it like this, these are the spells I use: Thirst for Blood, Norml Hit, Fient, Norml Hit, Int Threat, Norml Hit, Trip, Norml Hit, Charge, Norml Hit, Fient. Using that method I can succesfully attack at insane speeds, which I showed party at the end of Gigo's video. I'll make another video about it. The point is I can decimate over 1k damage every second, using normal hits. |
