About Movement Speed
Dear Players,
This week, along with a series of improvements and the launch of a new server, we decided to introduce a change in the backwards movement speed. This change's objective was to improve certain balance aspects between ranged and meleé clases. It is evident that we didn't realize the impact that this change would have in terms of the perception that players have about the movement of their characters considering that movement is the most basic form of interaction with the virtual environment. This is why we decided to re-stablish previous movement speed When running backwards keeping the actual animation and speed when walking backwards. We hope that you understand that we have the best intentions to improve the game and that we will look for other ways to balance this problem without including such drastic measures such as changing movement speeds. We are aware of some balance problems that will become our priority during the current development cycle for the remainder of the year. As always we are paying a lot of attention to what the comunity thinks and says. Saludos a todos, - Chilko |

Thank you SO much for this. I think a lot of us had a feeling you wouldnt revert it back, so this definitely came as a surprise to me.
Do you have an estimated time when Horus and Ra will be back up? |

Thank you for listening to us NGD. You did well in reverting back to the old speeds.

From my hunter's point of view (and from my barb's actually) i think that escapist should not give a speed boost whilst the archer is in a backwards movement.
Maybe this will in part help redress the imbalance Chilko speaks of... |

Now we can all put our dummies in our mouths, get back in our prams, stop throwing our rattles about and get on with the game

I mean, before escapist kicks in they always have an attack, if that attack makes you unable to move then escapist its not a problem. Barbs have more speed than you until they do that attack, knigths need definetly an aura who makes enamies slower. Off-topic: I was going to make a video of my mage moving backwards with the sound of a truck doing the same but i needed the sound of the truck, who cares, now everything is fine |

LOL
I didn't had the time to say that I did like the movement speed change (after learning to live with it on a 8h game frenzy through the night). That I found particularly interesting to adapt my game style to a "never walk backwards" movement, and that I honestly think it introduced gameplay limitations and challenges to all classes by equal. But I guess a company has to satisfy the demand, anyway suerte.
