A poem

the leaves of our trees are falling as time passes by
the hordes trample together when they heed my battlecry
once the leaves have fallen to the ground
there will be only dead bodies to be found

my hands will shiver no not shiver right now
not until the battle stops it's flow
as yet another body vanquishes in a firery gore
I keep wondering what we are fighting for

the green leaves I watched as a child
are no longer soft and mild
blood is the new colour of Syrtis
what will it take to end this

A little bit gory, morbid and I hear death metal in the background as I read this

but the overall idea is really nice, although I am not a fan of paired rhymes
