The state of lag as of today

Just crashed again for the 4th time at a big battle at samal. So despite the removal of realm chat, and the exodus of hundreds of players, and the constant( and much appreciated) efforts of Surak, i must still issue the following grade:

Fail.

Please keep at it NGD, you've made some progress, but sadly there is still miles to go.

I don't know if I agree on the "fail," but last night at samal, and in general, was just something else.

I was having 2/3 second freezes, my ping was having a fit and my fps had bombed.

It did seem out of the ordinary - I have noticed a great improvement as of late; but I wouldn't have expected this after all the improvements to lag.

Which all resulted in either the server dying - Or at least I was booted.

Freezes and low fps is caused by your own pc.

Yesterday was strange...
During a hunt around Menirah, all the members of our hunting party experienced gameplay pings, jumping from 100 to 1000 while our server ping was totally normal.
I guess this was only a temporary issue that will already be fixed today when I log in.

It seems to be an issue from yesterday,

I crashed yesterday for the first time in months.

Incorrect, NGD has already stated that they are working on the screen freeze when new players are loaded problem.

They are just reducing the system requirements needed for Regnum, my brother has a good and new PC and he almost never freezes in Regnum.

Since my pc up-grade, I've personally NOT experienced any lag or fps drops, or screen freezes. So I don't know if it's the recent fixes to RO, or the up-grade to my pc which has fixed my problems, or even a combo of both. All I do know ................. I couldn't be happier with the current state of the lag.
But......... not everyone can afford to up-grade their pc.

Agree. Since my pc upgrade I have almost no lag. NGD did a lot, and lag is not a problem now.

Get a better pc, clean the crap on it, or as some people incredibly stupid do... stop using it simultaniously with other programs if you have a bad pc.

Yep, its much better now. Only few random crashes, which I doubt it has connection with camera. When moving or standing, I rotate camera a lot around, and on some angles, it just crashes.
