A question to ngd about abuse in game

Dear Sirs,

I would like to know what sort of proof you need when reporting bad behavior in game
Do you need screenshots that could be altered in photoshop or is there some other proof you need.

If i get abuse in game and speak up for myself, will i in turn get into trouble?

If so this ROYALLY SUCKS.

I hope this is not the case, but im just wanting to know what i can do apart from mentioned above

I haven't been abused directly yet though out my game play. But I have seen some of them in chats. Since the chat scrolls over and over as the abusive talk goes on, I always thought of having my video capture ready, just in case I happen to encounter one. But that's just me. For the rest, since I have no experience of such. I don't know. I hope fellows from NGD would reply.

Ive recently sent abuse data, and my response was that they need a picuture apparently, isnt that great for me, a guy who can't take pictures?

It would be also nice if you send abuse to respond you with its status:read, done smthg, nothing, need more...

Hi Inkster,

The investigation methods used by NGD are private for obvious reasons. Screenshots are useful but are not deciding in abuse issues. Also, we recommend that you indicate the name of the abusing character and an estimate time and date of the issue.

lol if you get abused in game or in forums dont full go swear at them... u might get a 3 day bann or sumthin... it happend to me in forums once.. i said that altaruk is to big and confusing and sum dude said that i should try a game that would suit my brain IQ or wateva and he said mayb play pong... and after that i just went straight at him full swearing ... i dont tell u the details.. so ya learn from my exp if sum1 abuses u ignore it and take a screenshot...
P.S i hope the guy that said i was stupid got banned for 3 days too from forums.

About "fake" screenshots:
The screenshots taken directly with the game engine can be verified. Same for aplications like Xfire or Fraps. They all take screenshots in a known way, so any alteration can be found. I'm not an expert, so no details, but i can find the difference betwen an original screen and an modifed one (even a pixel).

If the screenshot is resized, banned (tipically skills or chats) or edited in any way, this can't be verified easily. Any editor leave a track, but it's not easy to know what was changed.

Anyway, I guess they use chat logs, and timestamps. The graphic "evidences" are only to have some background to start the investigation.
