If you get bored easily then this game probably isn't for you, at least for the long haul. Once you get past lvl 20 it becomes a complete grind fest. Meaning that most of the time you get maybe 4 quests if your lucky.
Since you get bored quickly, then I would try all classes and all subclasses out. Just pick the first race, the first class, and the first sub class. After you get to lvl 20, then create a new char with the 2nd sub class. Repeat for all races, classes, and sub classes. Don't bother playing after 20 since it will require 90% of your time to be grinding which isn't exciting nor fun. |

We'll see. It's best to find a character that fits your personality. In the long run, if you want a char that you think won't bore you, think again. All classes of all races in all realms will suffer the same situation at higher levels. And when that time comes, you have invested too much time on it that you find it hard to quit such a character. So I would rather choose one that fits my personality. It's the one that gets me going even through boredom.

Which is why I think trying every class/subclass will be helpful. Taking the char up to lvl 20 shouldn't take too long ... maybe a few days per char once you have learned the interface and how to get quests.
A lvl 20 char also provides enough skills to understand how that class plays. So when/if you do decide to keep playing, you will know which class to devote the rest of your time to. Also trying out the different realms is a good idea too. See which territories you like best. |

The initial part of the game is nothing compared to what happens once you step into the warzone. It becomes a completely different game and it's not advisable to quit based on what you've seen from pve, since the the game's core is pvp and rvr. I'd say make a lvl 38 char of wichever class you like (races don't matter much when you are 50. Unless you are an uthgar) and at that level join the fight outside relam walls, change your skill configuration as much as possible (at least for as long as we don't need to pay gold for it) to learn powers and go lvl when you feel you need more skill points rather than a new setup.
And btw, if you get bored easily, and you feel like you could be skilled enough, make a warlock, it's easily the toughest class to play and has a load of powers to choose from: raw damage, debuffs and fantastic crowd control spells. Also, best class choice for an alt imo would have to be support conjurer. By far. |

Making a level 38 char isn't easy. I'm only lvl 32 and I've been playing for about 2 months now.
So the grind from lvl 20 to 38 sucks even with 100% boosters (which I use). If the game is all about RvR then NGD should make it easy for players to do RvR. ArenaNet came up with a solution years ago with Guild Wars. Its called making a RvR char only. This character cannot do PvE stuff. It has the highlest level (20 in guild wars case) and comes with many of the skills. You can then earn more skills by doing well in battle. So trying out different chars at lvl 38 would not be advisable unless all you do is play this game for 24 hours / 7 days a week. |

With 100% boosts takeing 2 months to hit 38 you must hardly play STOP ADVERTISEING OTHER GAMES ALLREADY we dont want a bunch on insta level 50 chars running around noobing up the place, you can buy a level 50 scroll be happy with that. On topic, try a Warlock, barb or hunter, they are proberly the most "adrenaline" classes, otherwise just pick a char that suits your style :P

But when it comes to pvp, it's the hardest class to play. With barbs and marksmen taking roughly 20% of your health every time they hit, spells that can take out 1k damage, and all the incapacitation spells they could have, you really really need to think your strategy and time everything perfectly, you have to know how to react to every kind of situation FAST and you can't make too many mistakes or you end up dead. Fast.
Locks can do a lot of damage if they are given the chance, you must rely on a big deal of control spells to keep your enemy from dealing damage or keeping you under control with dizzy, knockdown, stun, freeze spells, etc. It's really chalenging. If you can manage to control the warlock propperly, you can kill several enemies without letting them do anything to stop you. Few warlocks are this good though. |
