Default new character model,- knight idea -

Seeing as how NGD is going to change the character models eventually, i wanted to show people what kind of knight design I would love to have in this game.* This armor would be called templer, would be uber if they came up with something similar. And no more tiny swords for knights ^^

My legs are stubby enough as they are! I can't be doing with tripping over a skirt!

Nice drawing!

I don't like big badass swords in MMOS (unless it's a 2h sword and it looks like the wielder can hold it). It all makes them look like manga. We have enough korean MMOs with this feature.

The "dress" is nice touch tho, reminds me of this:

I personally like the idea. And Ultimate has a good point, the only sword that looks in proportion to a knight is the Abyssal sword.

Granted it is a broadsword and is of the proportions, but you look at like the 1h flamberge, the 1h Shamshir and others and they are just way too small.

It's funny how you can look at the Syrtis fort Guard Captain, who is using a 1h Flamberge and it is not tiny in ratio to his size. But for players' knights it is.

I don't think Ulti is saying make swords outlandishly huge, just make them (the ones that are way too tiny) bigger and not so anemic. Also I think a larger selection of weapons and armor, all around, is a good idea.

More armour and wep selections are always nice, but gameplay bugs etc come above pretty graphics (looks at NG3D 2.0, well erm ) Yes most swords look tiny on Knights, some like eg the shamshir should be longer, most of them seem to just be shrunk to one basic size regardless of the type of wep its designed to look like.

I agree 100% with Ulti swords are way too small, Flamberge's look like tooth picks. Hang on though why are Warlord axes and other axes so huge then?? The "skirt" is a nice touch kind of like tutonic knights on AoE who hide their blade beneath their cloaks.

Yes i didn't mean for all the swords to be like 2x the size of character
I just meant it would be really cool if there was at least one choice of big sword and armor for a knight. And i do think that most of the weapons look like knives more than swords when it comes to knight weapons tho.

this size is pretty ok, I never noticed, cause I don't own a knight, is the sword for knights really really that small?

The swords tend to look alright on female chars because they are generaly thinner and smaller, but on a male the wide torso dwards most swords.
