Party Political Broadcast.
Forgive me, as this post is aimed to people living in the UK.
Since i was able to legally vote i can honestly say i haven't taken much interest in the drama that is the General Elections. However this year..maybe it's because i have a lot of people in my class at college who are very political, but im really interested in who will be voted in this year. This time rather than voting for a small political party, i could be swayed to vote for one of the leading ones i.e Labour, Conservative, or Liberal Democrats. So UK players who will you vote for and why ? And is anyone worried about BNP who are somehow sneaking ahead in some constituent areas? Any thoughts would appreciated, thanxs. Oh here's some websites to have a nosy at : The main ones http://www2.labour.org.uk/ http://www.conservatives.com/ http://www.libdems.org.uk/ Not so main ones http://www.greenparty.org.uk/ http://www.ukip.org/ http://bnp.org.uk/ Last edited by Angel_de_Combate; 04-20-2010 at 06:28 PM. At the moment i am severely tempted to go for UKIP or Conservative, Mainly because of their policies with Europe, labour arent putting UK citizens first and more focused on kissing ass to the USA and Europe, I dont want Liberal Democrats in either they are too relaxed on serious issues and we'll be using the Euro and no longer using the pound (still the most powerful currency on this planet).
As for the Naz.... i mean BNP they are drawing ALOT of praise from peoples discomfort with minority groups living in the UK (their main focus is the LARGE ammount of polish living in the UK "stealing" british jobs) from overseas now and their policy "for the good of britain" is too harsh and telling people what they want to hear, if they get in i dont think that expecting the world of "V for vendetta" would not be over-reacting. |

I'm not old enough to vote by a few months, which sucks because there are plenty of people older than me who couldn't give a toss. >:|
Anyways, I definitely wouldn't vote Labour. They've had their time, Brown is...well he's Brown, and then there's Volder-Mandelson too. No, just no. Their policies suck too, they had 13 years to do some of those plans, but heck just wait until the next election when it all matters why don't you? Forget actually doing the country a favour. LibDems seem ok, they aren't upgrading the Trident which means while we are more defenceless, that's £100 billion that could be put into the economy potentially. Don't like the idea of them giving away the pound for Euros though. That's enough to turn me off them. I suppose that leaves me with Conservative, as I'd only vote for a minority party if I was ever leader of it. We need a new government and while the Tories don't offer anything amazing, Cameron himself seems more appealing, slightly more together with it than Brown, not being puppeteered by anyone and is in no way or ever will be like Thatcher (just in case people would like to bring back 30 year-old news). The BNP...are a joke. And I don't say this lightly either. I know full well what those whelps are capeable of, but unless something substancially chaotic happens in this country (string of terroist attacks), the BNP will never get the en-masse's vote. UKIP. Their policies for Europe are too strong for me. I sure as hell don't agree on being with Europe in some cases as their laws are a teensy bit shite and "in the way", but I'll leave the Tories to that, not UKIP.

I vote for Lizzy and her family staging a military coup and reclaiming government for the monarchy!
