Default Beetle Swarm seemingly bugged

I was testing pve with my lvl50 conjuror. Beetle swarm works as advertised if it isn't resisted, and if the mob is standing.

However, if I do a knockdown of the mob, i'll do beetle swarm as they get up. Well if the effect hits them while they're still knocked down, they'll get up and continue to attack me even though swarm is still active. There's no effect other than the dot.

I tried this on five separate mobs. I was using beetle swarm 5 for maximum effect.

I am hoping someone can test this to confirm my suspicion.

Also, the effect wasn't active for more than 1-2 seconds when the mob began to attack me from the knockdown. I know, for sure, the effect hadn't run out.

I tested beetle swarm on more difficult mobs, and even though the spell isn't resisted by the mob, the dot is still there but it doesn't delay the attacks. So, either the skill is bugged or it is only effective from sub-unchallenging - challenging. Otherwise, it only half works.

While a target is knocked, some CC spells (dizzy, stun, immobilize, cannot attack) don't work. This is intended behavior to give the target a chance to do something when they get up.

that makes sense if they're knocked down already. What about if they're not?

only a few spells dont work like this, confuse, terror etc. But the majority of knocks/stuns etc will not work on knocked targets, to prevent chains.

Why confuse and terror (and some others but maybe due to bugs) are this way who knows, maybe NGD thinks its funny..idk.

as for bs on mobs, well another funny effect is to cast on them when theyre running, if they are close enough theyll run right past you. (i tried this trying to drown a mob but he only teleported back behind me..cheater.)

That's not a bug, but Swarm lasts for 2 more secs after the effect should finish, that's the bug in this skill.
