Wont load my character

Yeah, I get to the character screen. I click my hunter and it loads slightly and then stops. I can load my other two characters, just not the hunter. Anything I can do to fix this problem?

Confirmed. Having the same issue. Also, it seemed really slow loading when I tried loading my lock, but I haven't played him since before the updates, so that may have been a reason for the slowness.

But yeah, loading bar freezes on trying to load in with my hunter. Let it sit there for a good 10 or 15 minutes before ctrl-shift-escape out to kill the client process. For the record, I try my best to keep my system pristine as I do music/audio work, and a quick, stable, healthy system is a must when working with music in real-time.

Anyone else having the issue? I was playing on my hunter just fine last night, and I've changed nothing on my side since logging off last night.

Edit: Also, trying to change characters after successfully loading my lock or barb, and trying to switch to hunter does not help either. Odd that it's only one character that's having the issue....could it be due to a problem loading the settings in the area where he logged out? Think I was just at agg save when I logged off. Or not far from it at least.

Your characters are stuck ONLINE if you have the same issue as me. Try logging your alts from the same account and add your stuck char in the friend list - it should be online. My hunter is stuck online for a good 20 hours straight right now.

This happened after I had to close the game forcibly since the logout counter got stuck at 20 seconds and not counting down, last night.

Well, that was a thought, so I added my other characters in my friends list, but they both appear offline. Also, I did log out normally last night. I didn't have any problems there.

Could be that what you're experiencing was the start of the problem. Either that, or maybe it is a symptom or side effect, but not the root cause. Really weird that it is only affecting one particular character. I can only speculate, but intuition is telling me database issue, or something is just not communicating properly.

Only thing I notice is that on a normal loading session, the character-screen music cuts after the bar fills a little, so I'm guessing there's some sorta initialization before it starts loading data. When I load the hunter, it never gets past that point to start loading actual data. Bar gets stuck at around 10 or 15% filled. But on my two level 15's (which I can load without issue), the bar fills to that point, character-screen music cuts out, and data starts loading, and I'm ready to go in a couple seconds.

Hope they find the problem soon though.

Looks like my character is stuck online also. I got the issue of it stopping at the 20 seconds to log out screen and could not log out. I <CTRL+ALT+Backspace> to restart KDE and went to bed. Got up this morning and couldn't log in with that Character. I logged in to another character I have and I'm standing right beside my Hunter at CS. Guess I need to request a support ticket to get this resolved.

Hey guys,

This is likely a problem with the resources not loading properly wherever your character ended up, hanging the game when you try to log in to that specific character. This is happening alot recently, especially to Hunters who tend to be in a lot of different places compared to other players.

The fix is to have someone you trust log into your account and move or suicide the affected characters. In the event that a family member or friend cannot log into your character even from a different computer, you will have to wait for NGD to address the issue.

After almost 21 hours of being online as a ghost, my character finally went offline.

I still cannot log it.

I wonder what the response time will be for this "Urgent" ticket.

I have the same problem. My character was stuck on the game and she was online almost 20 hours then she went offline but I still can not log in to game with my hunter, stuck at loading screen...

Submitted a ticket too, eek I want my hunter

Oh still got relief that I am not the online one who is having same problem...

Maybe it's the 50 millions of unstackable liquers (very clever, NGD) that I have in my inventory that overflowed some database entry.

Nawww, if there's any data overloading database tables, it's more likely disappearing crap in the stashes. I mean...the data has to go somewhere right?

But regardless, being unable to load the world data/resources seems plausible. Not sure what sorta snafu would create that situation. I guess database corruption could be a plausible cause. I'm no DBA though. If anything I'm a rookie/novice server/LAMP admin with enough knowledge to get himself in trouble hehe.

Ah well, maybe I'll work on my lock and barb for awhile. I'll notify my clan in-game so I can get my alts re-invited. (lol, I haven't logged them in so long that they were removed from the guild) Been trying to get Marek finished up first.

Devs, good luck on the bug hunt. It's probably something simple mucking up the works, but easily overlooked. At least in my experience anyway.
