w2k game wont start

Nada, no flash of a window, no error message, no info when running from the godawful dos window thing, nothing.
Running with Dependency Walker shows an error:
GetProcAddress(0x77310000 [IPHLPAPI.DLL],"GetAdapterAddresses") called from "REGNUMONLINE.EXE" at address 0x0079E066 and returned NULL.
Bit more on that line but its in french and i had to type that all in as its on another box.
GetAdaptersAddresses not present in w2k, GetAdaptersInfo has to be used (but doesnt support ipv6)
